i personally hate RealPlayer, its never not crashed on me when i attempt to use it, but i need something that'll play *.ram files while streeming and i'm guessing nothing else out there would even want to accomidate for such a bad format...
^ that is possibly the worst thing i've seen in my entire life -- not work for VGA, no support for vbr, and it looks ugly.
I have to agree that the real player is currently junk and that converting rm to wmv or other TCPMP compatible format is not very good either. But there is a way to install to wm5 devices link . I found that simply moving the .cab file over to the axim and running it from there worked fine. Not all "real media" plays and I can't use it for more than a few viewings before I uninstall it in disgust (and reinstall it later when I think I have an idea to make it work again).
I tried the version of Realplayer for Pocket PCs on my X51v, and not only was it ugly, it sucked big time.
Could not stream audio, or even detect an internet connection, even though every other internet aware program was perfectly happy. It was hideous to use and very much bloated in terms of visuals, especially considering it is supposed to be working on a small screen.
I'd love to have a program that can play .rmvb files. I have lots of movies in that format. IMO the quality is great considering it's size is about one third - half of a divx movie. Just don't want to go through the trouble to convert all of them.
Realplayers pocket pc software hasnt been updated in a while, and i dont think it will. I refuse to put real player on my desktop pc, becuase new versions are bloated and slow, while old versions always have a flashing system tray icon that says update. And the icon wont go away until you update to the bloated versions.

It's probably a firewall issue. You will need to put your Axim in a DMZ.

Have you tried the enterprise edition? Search for it on Google.
