video podcasts available?
I was playing around with copying a DVD movie and encoding/transferring it to the Axim. I followed the Aximsite s/w tutorial directions and it worked great! Thanks to all who contributed to that archive. I actually produced a very watchable VGA movie that fit nicely on a 512 MD SD card. I have bigger SD card coming so I will be able to bump up the quality settings next time but it really isn't bad as is.
I was so impressed that I decided to try to see if the DVDs that my Pioneer DVR/DVD recorder would work... and they did. DVD Shrink and PocketDivx encoder worked on the Pioneer DVD-R disk (burned in what Pioneer calls video mode) as well as the commercial DVD. So I was thinking that it would be a good way to time shift and watch TV shows in the gym, while on travel, or wherever. But of course the bind is the computer time required to perform the conversion. Running in backgroung it took about 4 or 5 hours to copy/encode a 2 hour movie on my 2Ghz machine.
So I was wondering if anyone out on the 'net is producing podcast files of TV shows that are compatible with our Axim VGA screens to view with TCPMP or Windows Media Player. Anyone?
