This means that for every plugin now offered, there is only one package (the single .zip file) containing that plugin for all operating systems including PPC, Win32, and Palm versions.
For instance, if you wanted to download the newly released flac decoder for your PPC, you would download the one and only "flac.plugin.0.71j.zip" containing the flac plugin for every OS, and simply choose the run the installer for the PPC, which is included in the package along with the flac installer for other OS too.

AAC will come, fret you not! In fact, it already came out as a plugin (which is still circulating about somewhere...) but was replealed for liscensing reasons.
The Core Professional Media Player, or TCPMP 1.0, will likely feature it in the closed-source package. Until then, I believe it's safe to rule it out.

I just converted my .m4p to .m4a by burning them to a cd, and re-importing them. They kept all the id3 tags, but lost a little quality in the process. I .m4p plugin is what will put the Axim over the Ipod.
Also, We should get a program that syncs like an Ipod would.

I've been having some frame dropping problem with the Last two versions. I use Nero Recode 2 in QT Compatibility mode to generate a Mpeg4 file that will play in both my Axim and My Ipod. The Ipod seems to be playing the file fine, but I'm getting Hitchiness in TCPMP. Some Divx files have been exhibiting the same on my Microdrive I thought at first it was becasue of the drive , but the Mpeg 4 files are on my SD card. Anyone getting similar?
Square screen support might come in handy on a Dell PPC one of these days.
is there something you want to share with the group

I have the TCPMP 0.71k (test version). I have got the "Audio Codec (2001) not supported by the player" error message when I tried to play an avi movie. I have downloaded the following plugins:
AAC
Speex
FFMPEG
AC3
Can someone tell me what audio codec is missing here?
It all depends on what was used to make the AVI. I have a similar problem with a file that needs the TSCC codec, I get audio, no video. I got the codec from them for Windows, but they said they do not have a codec for PPC Media Player. See in the file plays on the desktop, if it doesn't perhaps an error message will tell what codec it is looking for, or you can look in Device Manager to see what you have installed.
