- Bugfix: favorite structure and bookmarks for audio books weren't saved correctly
- Bugfix: "Other path/directory" sometimes crashed the player
- an option whether the playback should start automatically after "open"
- and some small modifications in the settings program...
Update again...
English: PC setupCAB file
German: PC setupCAB file
- Bugfix: Playlists were saved to root directory
- Bugfix: Button lock sometimes wasn't removed correctly
- Modified look and technics of some menu bars (just a bit sad Wisbar Advance hides the bitmap if an entry has both text and bitmap...). Please tell me whether it works fine with "real VGA" and/or WM5, too.
- Removed unneccessary resources
I'm running an Axim x51v WM 5.0 A06. I also switched over to TrueVGA using ozVGA and everything runs fine there too. I tested both the myPod and Sonicated skins in TrueVGA and they were fine. The only possible VGA problem I saw was that the text 'Mortplayer Settings' in the popup window when you confirm changes when leaving the settings program was cut in half. The text 'Save settings and exit' was displayed properly, but 'mortplayer settings' in the titlebar of the message was not.
I had noticed that the lock button feature was sometimes a little buggy. Haven't had any problems with it yet and it seems to unlock faster as well. Nice work!
Well, that popup's a system dialog, so I can't do anything about that...
I meant primarily the bitmaps next to OK, cancel, and back, which are now also in the MortPlayer dialogs.
I have a request for Mortplayer that would make this player perfect (for me, anyway :) ). I use true VGA mode exclusively, and would love to see the path window use the full screen in VGA, instead of the top left quarter of the screen. The only reason I keep GSPlayer installed is because it's so much easier to play with files and playlists in it.
Regarding the file/directory dialogs in "true VGA": Might it be the dialogs look fine in the settings, but not in the player? MortSetup (i.e. the settings) uses dynamic resizing, to support square screen (it would even cope with something like 480x260), in MortPlayer itself this is still missing...
If it is that way, it shouldn't be too hard to copy this to the player, some more work would be needed for all the other dialogs that are still in it, like management of favorites, streams, bookmarks, etc.
- Bugfix: Player crashed when ID3 tags were read during screen switch
- Bugfix: Auto bookmarks for audio books weren't saved on exit
- Audio book bookmarks are saved immediately on stop and pause
- Fixed some minor bugs in the favorites management
- Added some preparations for easier translations
- File and directory selections are resized to screen, i.e. should look fine with square screen and "real VGA", too
I have another request that would be really nice to see. I've been looking at the skins and skin format, and notice there's no way to display track info like the format (ie 44100Kz Stereo) or data bit rate.
How much work would be involved in adding labels for these?

Can do that... I just thought nobody cares about those informations, since usually they only matter during encoding or before buying, and would take up valuable space...
btw: Does the player hang at anybody here as soon as a track is played? I got a post from one user with this problem, and would like to know whether this happens on more devices...
I am currently running mortplayer on X50v and am having trouble getting radio streaming. I was wondering if you have anything written as to how I go about this? I can get the URL set up and it connects, reads up the buffer, plays for an instant and then goes through the connect/rebuild the buffer. I obviously don't have everything properly set. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you.
You could try increasing the buffer size for streaming (in the "Playback" category of the settings). But it sounds more like the connection is quite unstable or too slow, and there's no setting to avoid that...
