With the Axim in the cradle or connected to the USB cable, simply drag and drop the file to the Axim using Windows Explorer. The included Windows Media Player will play the file.

Note the small speaker output is mono, the stereo headphone/earbud jack will provide more satisfactory listening.

Play MP3 on Axim

You may also want to convert your MP3's to windows media audio which you then play with windows media player, the reason being that a 4 megabyte mp3 usually ends up as a 1.2mb wma WITHOUT any loss in sound quality. this saves you a lot of space, the application which will do this is microsoft plus, heck you can even convert entire folders to wma and delete the originals, my mp3 folder which was 800 mb (about 350 mp3's) when cnverted to wma ended up as a 380mb folder and they are all sitting nicely on my 1gb cf card for my listening pleasure convert to wma I tells ya!!!!!!!!!!!

Up until a few days ago i didnt not know that i could play mp3's i always converted to wma. But with real player its easy to rip cd's into mp3s.

I tried WMA rippers but they all cost money and when i unistalled them i had problems with my cd-rom drives.... I CANT FIND MY CD ROM DRIVES on my computer i don t know if those programs couldhave affected it at all but i would advise you not to take a chance.

Good thing i found out that WMP could play mp3's because I was acually going to buy withMP3 which is a great program with A TON of features... but now i have wmp

Or you could go to

http://www.pocketmind.com
and download the free Pocket Music MP3 player. I have used this since my secodn day with my AX and am very happy with it. And ITS Free.

eakpata,

What bitrate do you normally used to get a 4mb mp3 down to 1.2mb wma?

Big Smile Positive_E

Hi Positive_E,
I dont select the bitrate, if you use microsoft plus (which is what I use) then you dont need to configure anything, you just select the source file and select what folder you want to put the destination file among several other options,
