Can Hear but not see Core Player

This was originally put in the great tutorial, but got no answers in 6 hours. Hopefully a new post will get some attention/help instead of being on page 23.

I am SOOO confused. I did everything according to this great tutorial, but I can't see the movie. I can hear it but not see it. I can only think that I downloaded/installed the Player wrong. When you go to download the TCP Player it bumps you to another page where you have too many choices. I am like an idiot in a candy store....I don't know what I want, or for that matter what I need. I have Batman Returns on my CF card as an AC3....but I can't see it. Great audio, no picture!
Please help....it's not a pretty site seeing a grown man cry.....not to mention the next step will be tossing the X50 at the nearest brickwall.

What choices below do I want/need for the X50

Please don't cry! ;)

Sounds like you are just missing a video codec. Choose either ac3.cabs.0.71.zip 131416 20,202 or ac3.setup.0.71.exe 97280 30,171. The cab file you will have to copy to your Axim to install (i.e., copy file over to your Axim, locate the file using File Explorer and then tap on it to install); the setup file you can install from your desktop while connected via ActiveSync.

Cool AC3 - is SOUND only as I can figure it out....

AC3: Audio Codec 3. This was the original and more technical name for Dolby Digital. Replaced by marketing mavens when they realized that Dolby's name was not in the title. Some RF modulated, 5.1-encoded laser discs were labeled as AC3. Later versions were labeled as Dolby Digital.

From Googling - "ac3 to" - it mentioned many references to it as a sound element and that is all. It leads me to believe that you can get "ac3" from "avi" - and convert ac3 to wav or many other sound types. There is NO mention of it to another video type.

"How to convert DivX/XviD with AC3 to a DVD with AC3 and subtitles" - this statement also supports the fact that it is a sound element, not a video element.

see AC3 at http://www.hometheatermag.com/glossary/

ok before i say anything else- w00t 100th post!!!! Ok now for the problem- i think i had the same problem, if you converted correctly simply tap on the frozen/blank image to send it to full screen. Now tap again to go back click play, and voila it should play(even on full screen). This has worked for me...

Almost Perfect

I want to say thanks for the help. I now have episode 1 of the Band of Brothers loaded and playing, but I can't get the player to flip to landscape. I have tried left handed, right handed, the best I can get out of it is have it blank out the controls for a letterbox look.

Can anyone give me just a little bit more help.

Just click anywhere on the video, while playing and it should flip sideways and go full screen
