What is the best & simplest way to convert videos (.AVI, MPG2, etc.) to videos that would be 320 x 240 to play on my Pocket PC.... (I am not looking to rip DVDs...already have that software :)
Windows Media Encoder with a Pocket PC/Windows media profile for music videos. Just how long is the content that you want to convert? Will you put it on your Ax or a memory card? j/c
The problem with fairuse is that, with this you cannot convert the divx/xvid files you download off internet. If you have the dvd(or image of dvd) only than you can convert.

I've tried several that are posted here, Pocket Divx works best IMHO so far. It's fast, easy to use and the quality is great. If you click the link to upgrade to Lathe, it costs 5.95 and has some additional features. I use that now and it works just as well as Pocket Divx.
I think winavi video converter does such a job pertty good. You just select to convert to wmv format. And then select the "color pocket pcs" encoder to convert. It is very easy and fast.
I have converted a file via pocket divx encoder, I am using an X30 how do I sink the file to the storage card ? I can not figure that out?
I have tried options to syn files to storage card but can not figure out
Just use the Explore feature in ActiveSync to copy and paste the file over. Better yet, use a card reader, which will be faster and save you from potential AS transfer errors.

Thanks I am using the explore feature figured it out, but you suggest an SD card reader, that makes sense so I have to find one of those now, thanks for the quick feedback. I see the copy paste method is slow as my movie file is just under 300mb and it will be a bummer if there are errors and it will not play via tcpmp

You can pick up a card reader pretty cheap ($10-$20) almost anyplace that sales computer stuff. A must-have if you are going to be transferring large files with any regularity.
