By the way guys,

It looks like the developer forgot to list the ASAP plugin in the plugin download list. But it is actually there on the server.

If you want it, it's here:
http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/test/a...in.0.72RC1.zip

Enjoy.

I don't have an X51v but it started fine on my JasJar with WM5. 3GP, MPEG, .WMV files tested and working fine so far. I left in the AAC plugin from a previous install so YMMV.

What's an example of something that would need the ASAP Plugin, Do you have a link? Here's what I found out about ASAP:

"ASAP WEBSHOW SOFTWARE PUBLISHING CORPORATION
ASAP WebShow is a Netscape Navigator 2.0 plug-in and an ActiveX control. It lets you view, download, and print graphically rich reports and presentations created with ASAP WordPower, SPC's award-winning product. For non-Netscape or non-Microsoft browsers, ASAP WordPower Player (included with ASAP WebShow) can be set up as a Helper Application. With the addition of audio support for RealAudio from Progressive Networks, ASAP WebShow is ideal for Internet and Intranet applications. The addition of sound makes presentations more compelling and helps users to effectively express information."

Is there a Real Media download or online presentation you can point me to?

Comes with: fuller ASP support, seperate buffering page, internal optimizations, and XScale mode for 2700G units--that's right, 2700G units now have direct access to the XScale display drivers, yeilding slight speed increase on ffmpeg, AVC, and GMCorQpel-ed ASP in full-screen mode. Also, the infamous 2700G "color blotchiness" has vanished on my device with XScale mode, although the picture does appear to be a bit sharper.

Nope, no skinning yet. Just performance, stability, features, horespower, versitility, and small size. Plays just about anything you can throw at it (even AAC and AVC were included at one point and will soon be thrown on again).

Guys, you got it wrong... ASAP audio codec which plays back asap songs/music. Old console bleepity-bleep, I believe. No RealMedia codecs. mov has been supported for a while though. Qsound, however, isn't.

Midi? nope!! Midi requires a mapper, which the PPC doesn't have. I doubt that it would be efficient to set up tons of MBs of good mapping data, and it doesn't look to be in high demand... Maybe an open-source synthesiser one of these days... ASAP is close enough to MIDI tho anyway
