qvga on vga devices

I was curios to know if a qvga video when displayed on a vga device such as an x50v or x51v shows at a higher resolution than on a qvga device since there are more pixels or if with the scaling if there is any difference between the two. I have an x5 and all my videos are encoded for it but if I decide to get a vga pda I dont want to re-encode to vga but I would want to take advantage of the higher resolution screen so what does qvqa video look like on vga screen? Better or worse or no difference for you vga owners?

They look better to me. I can't really explain why though? Maybe bigs63 will chime in on this thread. He's an expert on this kind of thing.

Well I'm by no means an expert...lol...But I agree with Bobby that qvga looks just as good if not better on vga devices. I think its all about the small screen size of a Pocket Pc that the resolution is not as noticeable when comparing qvga and vga and the fact that qvga has less pixels and I think just makes it a smoother transision between scenes of a video. But its a different story when you watch your videos on a bigger screen such as a PC where you will definitely see pixelation in a qvga ver. a vga video encoded at the same bitrate at full screen. But axzilla I think you will find that your qvga encoded videos will be just fine on your vga device.
