Your problem maybe that you need the IFO file. This tells the ripping software how to read the VOB files. But most free software will take a VOB file and know how to handle it, so long as it has been decrypted.

I recommend AutoGordianKnot and use TCPMP for play back. This comb works
great!!

AutoGordianKnot was very very slow on my computer.......Average time for a singel 1:30 dvd was 10 hours....And my computer is relatively decents (2.6ghz, 768Ram, 200GB hardrive....)

I use dvd catalyst,its not free but its fast and will do a one hour show in about 20 min then play back on tcmp as a divix.files are small and are set up for your ppc.it will convert dvds and video files.
