um, as far as i know, tcpmp doesn't do gapless

anyways, imo, tcpmp still isn't the best for music playing...i still like gsplayer better. maybe when 1.0 comes out.

anybody else know of a gapless and free player? i know iplay does, but i don't want to dish out money for it

Have you tried the iPlay demo? I know you were looking for a free option and dont really want to pony-up for iPlay, but IMO it's well worth the money. I was a little reluctant before I tried the demo. After I tried it, I couldnt send my money fast enough to get the registered version. To me it seemed to sound infinitely better than my ipod using the same headphones - enough so that I no longer have the ipod.

There are alot of capable players out there, but none that I know of that support gapless play and none that sound quite as good as iPlay.

Not a sales pitch here, though I'm sure it sounds like one. Just $.02 from a very satisfied customer.
