I synced a .wav file to my axim and it simply won't play back. It was a recorded message from my work voice mail. What am I doing wrong? I get "unrecognized format" errors. Thanks for any help.

Windows Media player (the pocket version) will only play .wma audio format and .wmv video format.

if you use file explorer, you should be able to play the wav file direct by double tapping on it.

If the wav file is under the My Documents folder, you can also play it if you open Notes and select the appropriate file.

FYI, Pocket PC use sndplay.exe under the Windows folder to play the wav sound file.

Thanks. For some reason, I haven't been able to play it. It comes from a voice mail that gets automatically recorded and placed onto my email at work. I then sent it home, but just can't open it. I've tried everything. Thanks again.
