the only player that will run DVD-quality (1.5Mbps DivX+) movies is the X50/51v with TCPMP.

I like using Pocket DVD studio. It's for people like me who have very little ripping know how. I have been playing around for the past week ripping both Windows media format (Which is easier). and AVI which has many more options to play with. Windows media player seems to frequently lock up on me when switching to full screen view. (However to me WMP has the best over all look/sound when the large screen works) but with the large screen bug, I'm now playing around with AVI files for the TCPMP core player. The AVI files look great on the core player but audio is not quite as nice. Like I said AVI ripping has many more options so I still need to tweak the audio for ripping. You can download a trial program to see if you like it. I recommend downloading the add-ons under the help/trouble shooting section to make the program run better. Good Luck with what ever you use. Paul
