Question Ripping "episodes" from DVD

I can easily rip regular DVD's using fairuse, and AutoGK(although very, very slow!), but my problem is ripping episodes from a dvd. The ones that I am looking at is the Simpsons Season 6. When I try and rip using the ISO image, the final product is black and white (and then color, then black and white) bloopers/ deleted scenes. Does anyone have any suggestions?

for a disc like that (tv show) I use DVDShrink, it allows you to view the file that you want to rip to make sure it is the episode that you want.

I would highly recommend you giving DVD Catalyst a try. It comes with a full 5 day free trial. Link is in my Sig. You can do a lot of your DVDs in that time alone. As you can see in the picture below I have disc 1 of the sixth season of the simpsons loaded and its as simple as choosing your output file size you want and putting a check mark next to the episode you want and then click convert.

I want to keep the exact same quality (no compression), but DVD Shrink only makes .vob files....IS there any way to make actual movie files? (I dont want to have to re-encode the .vob)

DVDShrink simply takes the .vobs off of the disc. I always just encode these vobs to an avi (or an mp4 for my ipod) and they work great. I'm assuming you can use AutoGK to encode them to avi just as you would the full dvd vobs. There isnt really a difference..
