TCPMP lockup

When I watch a movie via TCPMP, my Axim X5 locks up after about half an hour.

I can do a soft reset, and all is fine, but what's going on here?

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Any suggested fixes?

Do you know what version of TCPMP you are using? What format the movies are in?
Are the movies on a SD or CF card?

TCPMP version 0.71 (just recently downloaded)

I ripped the movie from DVD with FairUse and converted it with Gordian Knot, I guess to DivX.

The movie file is on an SD card.

What size SD card? Also, did you install the plugins, like aac or ac3 etc...
I have my movies on a CF card with nothing else installed and have no problems. Could just be the SD card is slow on the playback if you have a lot of other things on it.

It's a 256 SD card, and the movie takes up almost all of that.

I did isntall some things when I was setting up TCPMP recently---maybe I missed one----what should I be looking for to doublecheck?

Thanks!

Hmmm, you might have shrunk the movie to small. It also has a lot to do with the encoding of the movie. You might have had some hiccups while the program was running. While encoding, do not surf or use your computer at all. Encoding is very CPU dependent.
Have you tried other movies? I would get a larger card. I prefer the CF card for movies. I have a 1gig and my full dvd is shrunk to 475 mb with excellent dvd playback. Check the settings in TCPMP, under options video and see which driver it's using. I use the GAPI driver. Also, you can look under the add/remove programs and see if you have a couple of plugins for TCPMP. They are for the audio tho, not video. I have;
TCPMP AAC plugin, TCPMP AC3plugin

It may be the plugin issue, after all---I have Vorbis, Speex, FFMPEG, and AC3, but I don't see AAC.

I'll go online at home tonight and check it out.

Thanks so much for your input!
