Exclamation Trouble playing a media file? WM5 compatable! Look @ this!

This is for every post where someone has a problem playing a media file, or getting junky results from a media player whose only concern is wma's and wmv's (Windows Mobile Media Player).

-IF you cannot play a media file, TCPMP is your #1 best bet to play it.
-TCPMP IS COMPATABLE with WM5.
-TCPMP was formerly known as Betaplayer, and the name is pending being changed back.
-The dowload is at the bottom of this post.

TCPMP Supports:

Supported file containers
- AVI (*.avi)
- Matroska (*.mkv, *.mka)
- MP4 (*.mp4, *.m4a)
- Ogg Media (*.ogg, *.ogm)
- ASF (*.asf)

Supported audio codecs
- Mpeg 1 Layer III
- Ogg Vorbis
- Musepack
- Windows Media Audio (on Windows Mobile devices)
- AC-3
- AMR
- Adpcm, uLaw

Supported video codecs
- DivX
- XviD
- MPEG4-SP (plus B-frame support)
- MPEG1
- M-JPEG
- Windows Media Video (on Windows Mobile devices)

Dowload Here

Here is a link to the direct (Version 0.71) .exe dowload.
-To set it up on your axim, simply dock the ppc, make sure that activesync is connected, then double click on this dowloaded file above. It will install, and should solve your problems.

Here is a link to all the other tcpmp dowloads on that page.
-To install a .cab, activate activesync, then simply copy it over to your ppc. From there, tap on it from file explorer on the ppc.

Thanks for sharing this information. I will check it out. I like to try new music players. Do you know if it is working with WM5.

it isn't in his mypda and he said he'll try it out

frenchy! you're supposed to be an elitist ppcer here
you need to jump on the tcpmp bandwagon; it's been the best video player for windows mobile since it was called betaplayer

btw, the 0.72RC1 is probably preferred over the 0.71

In the last 1.5 days, I have seen 8 posts that a newbie to multimedia has asked for a media player to play different formats. Hopefully once the top post is great, this will become a sticky! :)
