TCPMP is the best imho for videos, and if you search here many agree. I don't have a tab-browser I can personally recommend.

To answer your first question; media player really doesn't play many different types of videos.(wmv) A great alternative is TCPMP player; and best of all its free! TCPMP player is great and plays many different codecs. You can download it here: http://tcpmp.corecodec.org/download
PS: I've personally never heard of dat. files being video files. Maybe its just my ignorance?

For your second question. I know that there are browsers that support multiple windows. However, I personaly don't use any of those types of browsers(PIE). I once used a browser call FTXP or FXTP, can't remember the exact name but overall it worked pretty well with the whole multiple windows thing.(and it was free). As you know opera supports multiple windows. Oh yeah, to unistall your beta version of opera just go to; Start; Settings; System; and Remove Programs.

Netfront 3.3 from Access. Try it out - it is free until the full version is released soon.

Yeah if it was a Video CD it is probably protected against copying. I don't know of any program that plays dat. video files. dat. is usualy just data.(I think). As far as yahoo messenger goes, you can try agile messenger. I've never tried it but others here at aximsite have given it pretty good reviews.

You would need to rip your VCD to a video format recognizeable by your player, such as .WMV

tcpmp is indeed the best video player and it is free. Go get it at http://tcpmp.corecodec.org/download . as for the .dat files these are actually just renamed .mpg files . Use resco or file explorer to change the extension from .dat to .mpg and they should play in tcpmp
