Try the Fairuse video tutorial. This one is very simple and requires only one software. It's step by step w/photos. You can pm me w/questions, but you won't have to b/c it's very easy to follow.

Don't bother w/the ac3 plugin right away. Use mp3 for sound, then when you feel comfortable, then start experimenting with different settings. I'm going to make larger photos for the tutorial. Do you think they're too small?

When I first converted a video I did the same exact thing as you. I'm like, "what's this auto godian knot?" I couldn't figure anything out. I read everything and printed out 50 pages worth of crap. I wasted 15 hours for nothing. That's why I made this tutorial. A newbie should be able to follow it with no problem and not stress out or waste any time. I remember I got so stressed out over what turned out to be a very simple thing to do. I hope you find my tutorial easy to follow, but if you don't, please let me know where it can be improved so I can help others.:approve:
