TCPMP, No audio

I have installed TCPMP and it seems to play MPEG4 well. However, I do not get any audio. I have also tried to play MP3 without success. Is there an Audio codec I need or have I installed the player incorrectly?

Thanks

trying plugging headphones in and taking them out, repeat it a couple of times and see if that works.... It kind of sounds like you have the connector pin in the headphone jack stuck. Maybe someone with a little more expierence can help though.

TCPMP is pretty straight forward about audio codecs it doesn't support, you'll usually get a message saying something is not supported.

Check and see if the Use system volume box is checked under Options > Settings > Select page > Advanced then turn up the system volume see if that helps.

Do you have a link to the website that has the file you're trying to play?

You probably need the aac codec. I had the same problem. TCPMP says that can't include it in their bundle now for legal reasons, but plan to do so. The file your looking for is aac.ARM.CAB. Do a search with Google and you'll find it.

Also, under Options, Audio, make sure Wave Output is checked. And make sure the mute icon is disbled (no red strip through it).

and yeah, get all the codecs and such.

Thanks all. I tried the suggestions. I now have audio that sounds like HAL (2001) is talking to me. Very slow...and soft.

Does it matter that I am playing videos on an SD card?

Hey tommy, welcome aboard! Well, I run videos off my SD...the reason why it might be playing slow is b/c the video speed is set to 50% or 60% or something...make sure it's set at 100% for standard playback. Check those settings! Of course, the original audio might be screwed up...but who knows. Perhaps the audio isn't fully AAC standardized or sometehing...
