This may sound like a dumb question, but am I reading "Limewire" correctly? As i read it, they protect their hides by telling Mr. Consumer to get the license to the music they provide. Is that the basic read here?

 

Basicly, There are several Peer to Peer schemes. They are providing the road, if you speed or transport drugs over it, its not their problem. Kinda shady because most trafic is somewhat illegal but then not all. There are public domain music and movies and plenty of other information that can be shared with out a problem.

 

Its like dvd ripping/burning/copying software...... You are legally allowed to make a backup of the original dvd. However, if you make a backup, and give it away, that becomes illegal. The software is legal, but misuse is illegal.
