stupid picture question...
How do you view pics (jpeg) on the Axim from an SD or CF card??? I copied some pics on my computer to an SD card via the media reader/writer, made sure the pics were on there by viewing with windows explorer, took out the card, stuck it in the axim opened the folder from both file explorer and picture viewer.... and nothing is there? Am I missing something?

Try creating a My Documents folder on the card and moving the pictures there. Also delete 'ignore_my_docs' if one was created.

Kingtut in my pda is a free picture viewer software by pda mill. Get it and you'll be able to view photos. What I do is I make a folder in my SD card called "pictures", and put all my photos in there. Then open up the viewer, point it to the folder and you can view the photos.

that's ODD !!
my JPG is placed freely anywhere and am able to open it with just a click using device's explorer and the built in picture viewer takes care of it... didn't have to specifically be in the "My Documents" or "pictures" folder at all ... ![]() | |||||

well, it tried copying to cf card, no specific folder and that worked fine. So I checked the sd card and the 2 folders I had on there ("vids" and "pics") were corrupted somehow, I couldn't even delete them from the computer, other folders on that card were fine. So I copied some test files to a "My Documents" folder and some just straight to the card and both seemed to work.... for now anyway.
Thanks everyone. | |||||

If you create a My Docs folder in the cf or sd card, you have to do like Gigi said and delete the "ignore my docs" line. That might've been the problem. Normally this is very simple to do.
