TCPMP only one speaker

I use Pocket Wake Up - french software - to wake me up with MP3 in the morning (axim speaker). Problem is, whenever I try to watch a movie or listen to a song with the TCPMP afterwards (earbuds), the audio plays only on one speaker.
I know how to activate both speakers, but this is not possible without getting an awful sounds so loud that it really hurts.

Has anybody experienced the same? How can I make the axim play on both speakers right away?

You may have to mess around with the pre-amp

Have you tried moving your headphone jack around in the jack and perhaps taking out the headphone jack and cleaning it with a cloth or your hands? Could be a hardware thing. Or does it not do that with other programs?

It does not seem to be a hardware problem. Whenever I tap on the speaker-dropdown, both speakers get activated. With headphones on, I get an awful loud "BLIP" and both speakers are on.
Next morning after waking up, same thing again.

Hmmm... turn off pre-amp in TCPMP? (Disable the the Equalizer: tap Options, Settings, Select Page, Equalizer and un-check the box next to Enabled. Oorrrr... it might be the Volume Normalization box is checked. Play with these settings.

Sounds like the settings also, however you might want to invest in better headphones if you keep having a problem. I have used earbuds and they seem to work fine on it.
