MortPlayer and AVRCP or WMA support?
I have found that I can fit quite a bit more media on my flash cards if I convert to WMA (Mort doesn't support) or OGG (WMP doesn't support). I was using just MP3's and WMP and Mort could handle without problems.
I use my BT headphones at work and use AVRCP to control WMP (on random) while at work and in my car, I use Mort for the Changer mode controls (AFAIK, no other player has this functionality). Now that I am wanting to convert all my files to OGG or WMA, I am either stuck with WMP for WMA files or TCPMP for OGG if I want to use AVRCP w/ my headphones at work. Are there plans for MortPlayer to support AVRCP like TCPMP does? Mort is much more pleasing to the eye and has the ever important changer mode! Then I could just use Mort exclusively for my audio media. If no plans for AVRCP, then WMA support would work for me as well and I could use just as I had been...

I know it supports OGG, but since it does not support AVRCP, if I want to use my BT headphones w/ AVRCP, I CANNOT use Mort. I have to use TCPMP, which sucks for audio, hence my post.... Again, if it supported WMA, I could still use Mort (car) and WMP (at work w/ AVRCP) as I did before.

Well, I found a solution to my problem. PocketPlayer ($20) plays OGG, AVRCP support for wm2003se, and album art support w/ OGG (unlike TCPMP). So this allows me to onvert all files to a smaller OGG file, use PP at work w/ AVRCP, and MortPlayer in my car w/ changer control.
Now, I wish to make a friendly challenge to MortPlayer. I have 29 days left on my trial of PocketPlayer. If you can add AVRCP support to MortPlayer in that time, you will get my $20 donation instead of PocketPlayer.

I was gonna say ask it over at the Mortplayer forums. I'm not sure if this is you but this same question has been posted there.

Finally saw some answers on this over at the Mortplayer forum.
Unfortunately, it seems Mortplayer does not and is not going to supporting BT for the foreseeable future. http://www.sto-helit.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=607

And TCPMP should support WMA, OGG, and just about every other major audio format... I don't quite get why it "sucks" for audio, especially since TCPMP is capable of recognizing playlists made on your computer and with WMP...
And "pleasing to the eye" doesn't always mean pleasing to the ear, or even pleasing to the battery, because the purpose of music is to hear! And, if I'm correct, to hear for a long time, which TCPMP allows for because of its insanely resource-friendly codecs and it's "Screen power-off" feature which allows you to turn of the screen entirely while playing music. Pretty nifty, really! Give it more of a shot, eh? You might find that it's more likable than you first thought... ![]()

Additionally, like most media players, if the album art is included as folder.jpg in the folder w/ the music files, but with OGG files it does not work. It just lists the jpg as a file in the playlist and treats it as a music file by showing in sequence after the song it is listed after. So instead of having it's generic UI, I also have a blank ass, 3.5" VGA screen, where with ALL other media players I have tried, I have beautiful VGA album art. I could care less about battery life with TCPMP, as I would only use AVRCP and TCPMP at work where I have it plugged in. Plus MortPlayer does that just as well. Playlists are useless to me as I constantly update the music I have on my SD card. I want it to just scan my card and work. Other players do that where I have not found anything that TCPMP does that would compare. I really have tried to give it a fair shot and it just DOES NOT measure up for audio. ...PERIOD!
