VLC player in WM5
Is there a way to install the VLC player into the Axim X51V?

Did you already try it? By most accounts the PPC version is still very unstable and really not worth the hassle. Try TCPMP instead.

Well I need it to work with MyTheatre to stream live video feeds. I'll try it out, I haven't yet.

VLC player is for win32 app,
hence any win32 app will not work on windows mobile environment

VLC is OpenSource,
hence it can be ported to other platforms including PPC.
Unfortunately this specific port is not very "clean" -
I would not recommend it to anyone. Tried and cried :(

The installation method is ..... copy the doby bastard to either ROM or card and run the VLC.EXE from there.
Make a shortcut of the file in "/Windows/Start Menu" if you want to keep it after the disas.....
