What kind of files are you trying to play? WMP will only play mp3 and their own formats.

Moved to Multimedia.

The files are correct (just mp3's and wmv's) so I don't know, do you think it might be because I was testing it while the axim and the computer were on the same wireless network?

I don't think so; I often stream tv on the same network and never have a problem. I just now tried to login to my account on my X50v but the browser kept on closing on me. I'll try again later and let you know if I am successful accessing my music files.

Ok, I just tried it again and it played fine. One thing, however, I had to enable my firewall to allow the connection. Perhaps that might be your problem?

Possibly? What firewall are you using, did you have to disable your routers firewall or just your desktop firewall. Its just really starting to tick me off because it seems like everyone else does it flawlessly, and then heres me (I like to think i'm tech savvy) who can't do a thing with it. Another question, can you make your files open with tcmp?
