Media Player not being detected

Newbie trying to figure out how to sync with MediaPlayer. I've installed a SD card, selected the MP option for sync in ActiveSync and MP still does not detect my x51 as a device. Using MP version 10 on PC and x51. Any ideas??

Sorry I can't offer any help yet, but I have a couple of questions to get us going. What version of ActiveSync do you have installed? Can you sync everything else (contacts, calendar, etc.?)

Using 4.1 AS. All other apps are sycning just fine. AS pauses on MediaPlayer and prompts that setup needs to be completed and asks to establish partnership. Following the prompt takes me to MP on the desktop. MP should detect the device at point for sync setup but doesn't see it.

update....i installed the MP ver 11 beta and it now detects the x51. ActiveSync still pauses indicating that the setup is not complete. In that the music files are stored in the file folders, I'm not sure what is gained by using the MP option on the sync list. Anyway, it works by syncing the folders.

I have a similar problem. I get a message when I syncrhonise my x51 with my lap top a message appears against media player setup must be completed. when I go into medai player there is no conenction but no advice on how to synchronise.

I have a similar problem. When I try and download music from desktop to X51 Active sync tells me setup must be completed. When I go to Media Player it does not seem able to find my 1gb CF card. Can anyone advise how to overcome this problem.

Get a card reader and load the music files directly to the storage card it will be 100 times faster and no headaches just make sure you have created a "My Documents" folder on the card first then load everthing into that folder. Screw active synch I never use it for anything.
