I have an x50v and I'm trying to play a DRM-protected stream on Windows Media Player. I'm get the message from WMP:
"To play this protected file, you must download a license. Do you want to connect to the Internet?"
When I tap on yes, PIE opens up a blank local file and does nothing else:
file://\Temp\XPlatMEInst00030470\drmtemp277437096.htm
As a result, WMP is stuck in the "Acquiring license" phase.

Why is it doing this?
The stream runs quite happily on my PC's version of WMP9.

You have to get the license from WMP on your computer BEFORE you download the file to the Axim. Then you have to make sure that you sync the file using WMP and your cradle - you can't just transfer the files using Windows Explorer or anything else. I found this out the hard way too when I first got my Axim.

I find it odd that WMP on the Axim tries to download the licence itself without checking with the PC. I actually have a WMDRM folder on my Axim, with 2 recent files. Have there been crossed wires with the developers of WMP on WM2003?

Another problem - because this is a stream and not a file, I can't actually sync the file across!!
