Video Recording a DVD to X51v

I just got my X51v and am new to Pocket PC's. When I record a DVD in AVI format using "Pocket DVD Studio", the Windows Media Player 10 on my Axim will not play this AVI file! I had to download "TCPMP" to play this AVI file.

I would perfer to use what I have. Should I record using a different file format, such as: MWV8? This is on option on "Pocket DVD Studio".

Any help, suggestions, experience and/or recommendations is greatly appreciated to help me do this right.

Thank ya!

TCPMP is
1) free
2) optimised to use the video accelerator in the x51v
3) better than WMP in terms of features
4) better in terms of processor occupancy...

so what is the problem in using it
This week I have been mostly listening to..... Short cummings audio

Indeed, the only pro of WMP is support for AVRCP... If you don't need it, use TCPMP for videos and Mortplayer for music. I use all three - TCPMP for videos, MortPlayer for playing music through corded headphones and the speaker, and WMP with my bluetooth headphones... Nothing beats being able to pause, play, and skip my music with a tiny little button beside my ear
Have fun.

I agree with you. I have TCPMP and its given me zero issues with my X51V and the movies I run from my 8gb seagate CF micro drive.
