Cannot Copy to SD or axim memory
Hello,

I have been trying to copy my avi files to sd and axim memory without success.

I try to copy the files using the regular copy and paste method (avi format videos) and the progress window starts and about half way through the whole process starts again and this keeps repeating again and again.

The smaller size files 22Mb have no prob but when copying 180Mb the loop starts. Both the files were converted in the same extact method.

How can i get to copy files to my SD card in axim. Help plzzzz

thanks
Salman

When you say the "regular copy and paste method", do you mean via ActiveSync? AS is only good for smaller files and is not reliable for larger ones. Try a card reader instead.

By regular method I mean I explore the sd card via windows explorer and then open my movie folder and then use ctrlC and ctrlV.

And this is when connected via ActiveSync, right?

If so, do try a card reader.

I think my kingston 2gb SD might have a prb. Cause with my card reader I can read my MMC card (512Mb) but I am not able to do the same with my SD. It shows as removable disk but does not open instead says insert the disk or disk not formatted and when i chose to format it -- it says cannot format the disk.

However when the SD is in the axim and I chose explore from active sync it shows up fine and I am able to copy and delete from the sd card and play videos (10Mb previsouly copied) on the TCPMP

Is my SD card corrupt?

Your card reader may have problems with larger cards. Can you try a different 2GB card with it?
