Betaboy posted an update in the coreplayer forum that essentially implied it would be September before this is released. I'm not exactly holding my breath anymore.

"We are very close.... its really JUST the GUI work and the Core Account system we are doing atm... as I stated in a few threads ... we are looking to release it for the back to school push... so that tells you it is very soon."

Thanks for the link.

So, I got 0.81 loaded. And I found where the skins go, but there are only 2 QVGA skins there, which do not play well with the x50v. DOes anyone know if there are skins floating around that will work with this. For example, will GS player, WMP or Mortplayer skins work??

The 2 skins are in the Player folder. If I select them on the Settings, Lyric page nothing changes. Do I need to make \storage\lyric\ folder or edit that line to point to say cf card\program files\tcpmp...\Player\skins? Or does that folder have nothing to do with the skins? And why the heck do I see 15 skins??? ;-)

I tried the same thing. I suspect the plan was to have 15 skins (or more??) in the final release, but they are not ready for this Beta?? Skin 1 came out as just a mess. Skin 2 worked a little better. My understanding is that they are QVGA skins only, so they will not work right on a VGA device. I looked in the TCPMP folder and could only identify those 2 skins there.

So, my question still is has anyone gotten any other media player skins to work with TCPMP.

Nothing changes when I select skin1 or skin2. I tried dropping a WMP 10 skn file and renaming it 3.bmp, but nada.

Skins arent done in the beta, thats why you dont see the beta exactly on their site for everybody. It was probably meant only for people working on the software to test it, but it leaked, and its great. Is this the final version of TCPMP, or is this the beta version of coreplayer. I see the new icon and its called "Player" in start menu.

I can confirm WMP skins do not work. not surprisingly, the .skn files are completely different. Going to try mortplayer and gsplayer later.

jfoster. I tried mortplayer and gsplayer skins in the new 0.81 tcpmp beta. I could not get them to work. Let me know if you have more luck than me.

The skins are very buggy still. Dont work in landscape, controls dont work good, only 2 skins. Afterall, its a beta. When i opened up the .skn file in notepad, i noticed its pretty simple though. If other skins dont work, maybe we can make our own aximsite skin.,
