Roger. Hoping to still be in on the beta, and hoping to see a CoreAVC release soon that might include some of the hardware acceleration code that was thrown about as an idea some time back. :D I love being able to watch 1080p with less than 20% CPU usage on my PC.
On the corecodec forum, BetaBoy said yesterday that the Coreplayer web site should be up and running on October 18, with CorePlayer available at that time.

Yup I have. Not too many setting options etc on the tech demo, but the player is so small in size and light on the system its amazing! And the interface is nice and clean, just the way I like it. The PPC version will kick some serious bleep!

I'll have to wait until the website is up and running tomorrow before I can download the tech demo and test it out, since I have had no emails for the windows or PPC versions yet.

I'm guessing you mean that the static page will be up on the 2nd/3rd Oct, and the tech demo will be available then.
So what is the exact difference between CorePlayer FREE and BetaPlayer 1.0? My understanding is the CorePlayer 1.0 is the full-fledged pay software whereas CorePlayer FREE is a 30-day demo of CorePlayer 1.0 which reverts back to free-only codecs after 30-days and BetaPlayer 1.0 is an updated/renamed TCPMP which will continue to be free.

Where'd you hear about a 'CorePlayer Free'? Or do you mean the tech demo? I don't see it on the CorePlayer page, nor do I recall seeing it on this thread; all they had was BetaPlayer (aka TCPMP back to the original name) with the free codecs, then the CorePlayer with CoreAVC and other CoreCodec decoders.
Ah... so free mode is just 'restricted' mode, versus being a time-limited demo? Query - will this auto-update its seed if I turn on my Internet connection (say to update weather) and only then, without trying to connect to the server itself?
(Edit: Nevermind. I see what he meant - of course, given that I was already planning to update to this...)
That's the thread I got the information about CorePlayer and CorePlayer Free from. What I am still unclear on is the differences between CorePlayer Free and BetaPlayer 1.0 aside from the 30-day demo feature of CorePlayer Free.
