Any program to re-encode MP3 files?

Hi all,

I have tons of MP3's that I want the file size to be smaller. Is there any program out there that can do this (for free)...

I don't really want to redo my CD collection, but rather use what I already have, and just reduce it's file size.

Thanks.

iTunes will do it too.

But for musical integrity, you can't do too much better than LAME.

Well, LAME alone won't do it as it's just an engine for encoding, but you can use Audacity which uses LAME under the hood.

When I was looking to do the same thing you are, I ended up with MediaMonkey.
