I took the card out of the ax and placed it in my card reader on my pc copied a couple of songs to the card and then placed the card back in the ax and the same thing they have the windows flag next to the name of the song its nolonger mp3 like it was before???

Has anyone had this problem and how do I fix it.. soft reset and all that has been done..

I can.... :-)

Its a card reader problem. You should try another one.
I also had the same problem but as I put the card back in the x50v it looks
like a virus, all data was destroyed....i used another card reader and
everything was fine.

Looks like the card readers are dont have a good quality

Check the file extentions are still .mp3 using resco explorer. if that fails, check the file associasions in tcpmp.
