How to view video on x51v over LAN?

Hi everyone,
I can access my LAN files with Total Commander CE, however I can't view video files such as MPGs. I try and open them with the default windows media player association but it can't recognise it. GSplayer can, however GSplayer doesnt seem to be able to view LAN files, and I can't figure out a way to make GSplayer the default association for files like MPG.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

GSPlayer only plays audio files. Try TCPMP instead.

BTW, you posted this in the X5 not the X50/X51 forums. However, I'll move this to Multimedia since it's a multimedia sort of thing.

Just a thought on this. I store my DVDs on a Terastation (admittedly full size) and because the Axim is only 'b' network it is too slow to view full size videos over the network.

The best bet is to stream your videos with something like Windows Media Encoder. Just trying to open them over the network is asking for trouble.

Over an 802.11b network you should have no issue streaming the video, as long as it is encoded suitably.
Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.
