I would look here: http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/0.71/
See the ffmpeg.setup.0.71.exe for the H.264 codecs
But good luck! I tried it, and for the videos I have, it's slow as nuts. Video is really choppy, audio streams fine. Let me know if you have better luck.

Hmm, seems many people have problems with their H264 encoded videos, and so I have decided to help you by creating this cab file. Copy it onto your device and install it. It consists two codecs - AVC and AAC, both are very good - I can watch H246 movies even with my CPU set to 208MHz. I hope this will help you.
Here's the cab file I created. => http://www.box.net/public/gk97uv7x1o
Yours sincerely,
Vulpix
(I suggest you to use cabinstl.exe - that way you can specify the installation directory => download here http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/cabinstl.shtml )

Which codecs exactly are these? Can you reveal the specifics of the contents?:hide:

AVC is by CoreCodec, very good - it's only 5-10% slower than the one used in CorePlayer now. And the AAC is the commonly used version from rarewaves. I have bought CorePlayer, but I still don't use it and watch movies on my good ol' TCPMP. H264+AAC_HE encoded movies, mind you :)
The best way to convert your DVDs into H264 encodes optimized for your PDA is to use "StaxRip" and when setting the resolution, set it to "anamorphic" and select the first value to about 320-380 pixels and set the quality to 50% and the profile to HQ-INSANE. Image Quality with these settings is awesome on my Axim X50v. DivX and XviD were replaced by this new awesome codec. Go and try it out!
If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask.
>> for example, The Lord of the Rings : The Return of the King (which has about 3:15hrs) was shrinked to approximately 300MB file, whilst maintaining awecome quality!"
Yours sincerely,
Vulpix

Incidentally, the CoreAVC and CoreAAC plugins that showed up about two years ago were pulled by the Core team after they discovered that there were copyright issues involved... so I won't state the obvious. However, the CoreAVC support in CorePlayer is better than that in the CoreAVC plugin for TCPMP that's floating around; the results showed about 10% improvement in framerates during benchmarking - the results are on the CoreCodec forums.
One thing that you'll notice with h.264 decoding is that it does suck up a lot more CPU time, due to the more processor-intensive nature of the calculations as well as the lack of hardware acceleration available with XviD/DivX on the part of the Intel 2700g.

What's the point in double-posting?
And, while it's true that h.264 (aka AVC = Advanced Video Codec) does eat up your CPU a lot, I can still watch h.264 encoded movies on my Axim X50v with my CPU set to 208MHz. The resolution is 384 x 160. No lags, no frames dropped!
Yours sincerely,
Vulpix

Of course you can watch it, but it also depends on how those videos were encoded in the first place

They were encoded in "StaxRip", encoder x264 - profile HQ-INSANE, AAC HE 70-90 for sound. Resolution 384 x ??? (depends on the crop and filters used). Everything works fine :)

Oh, just because we can. And a subtle reminder encouraging people to purchase. I'm the one who did the benchmarks on the CoreCodec site on this with the same Google Video clip about a half-dozen times with various versions... ;)

Well you see, I've bought the CP as well, in fact I was amongst the first who did so :) It is cool, but I'm just using TCPMP so far. But you know, there's gonna be a new version soon :)

Have you tried using a higher resolution, i.e. 640 x 272? Is this playable on 624MHz?

No problems with 640x180 here, for 30-minute shows, at about 350-400Kbps bitrate. That works well enough on the Axim to be perfectly clear and crisp, without going too 'heavy' for the CPU to handle. I use CorePlayer for this, however.

That depends on the used profile and the bitrate, but in most cases videos with resolutions around 640xZ (Z<640) were not playable at full speed. (Using CorePlayer) I can post some benchmark results here if you're interested.

I normally encode using MeGUI, x264 video codec with HQ-Slow Video Profile and ND AAC audio codec with NDAAC-HE-64kbps Audio Profile. Output resolutions is set to 640xZ (Z<640) with a bitrate between 350-400Kbps.
