seems to work for me as well, all 3 buttons (play, forward, back) resulted in LButtonDown and LButtonUp text all with different values for those tags

Play: 15794296/1 (Down) / 1574296/0 (Up)
Forward: 15794333/1 (Down ) / 1574333/0 (Up)
Back: 15794258/1 (Down) / 15794258/0 (Up)

Edit: Oops, missed to post it here... Sorry...
There's a "preview" of RC6 (i.e. there could be an "updated RC6" if something goes wrong...):
Setup CAB

Used this cab file and everything is working with wm5, x51v and logitech bt headphones. Thanks.

Yet another patch of RC6... Now it should work fine with the Widcomm stack, too...

No, it's the same download link as before:
Setup CAB

Just download and install/update again...

I'm running 3.31 b49 and everything works perfectly. Do I need to go to RC6?

You don't need to.
Beside the AVRCP support for some Widcomm versions, there are also some other small changes, though most of them will only be noticed with skins to come. And of course I'm happy about everyone who tests a new version, so I'm noticed if a change messed things up for some devices...
In your situation, I'd wait at least for the "public" RC6, though the current version looks promising. I'll just wait for feedback of peeps and/or Wolfxda (@mofologic: Thanks for your feedback, but it seems like there are differnt variations for x51v, so I prefer to wait for those who certainly have the one that didn't work...). If things work fine, I'll publish it on my site. And then I planned to start translating the new manual (about time... but which programmer likes doing documentation? ;) ) and finally release the update...

Let me know if there is any othe info you need or any little tricks I need to try....

OK, back to debug messages...
Download (MortPlayer.exe, copy to RC6 installation directory)

It should show the current WMP skin, the locations of all required buttons (0=play/pause, 1=prev., 2=next, 3=volume up/4=down), the simulated mouse click position when you press the headset buttons, and pressed the button...

Sorry, missed an "s" in the link ("downloads" instead of "download").
Here's the correct one:
Download

(Probably now you're sleeping... ;))
