I got my 51v finally. I installed TCPMP (thanks to someone's list it was recommended :-) )
I'm trying to play relatively TV Quality files. They are WMV Files, supposedly with a resolution of 480 x 480. They are about 500-1 GB in size, and man is it choppy. I hear audio just fine, but the video barely picks out. I reduced the size...even slowed it down, and it's still not up to speed. SLowing it down helped a lot though.
I messed with all the settings, decoders, what quality I want, etc. Still not up to what I want it to be.
Any suggestions?? These files are direct from TV Programs that I record, after something called Showsqueezing ( I use Beyond TV software for my TV Tuner)
wmv does not play flawesly on tcpm, se another codec, dix, xvid, or mpeg1, for example I record Tv show on mpeg2 format and encode it to divx/xvid, 1 hour file~500MB with good quality, but if I have not time i just record tv show to mpeg1 format, copy it to axim and enjoy watching:)
not to change the subject but it sounds like you people konw this program well: is it possible to have tcpmp keep the pda from suspending while playing? I can't find the option to enable this, but I really need the functionality. can anyone help?
also, as far as choppy video, are you playing off your sd? what speed is the sd? mine is like 1x and it's choppy too, that might be the problem. i'm waiting for one of those 2-4gb 150x ones to drop a little more before i get a new one then it'll be smooth sailing!
