FAIRUSE: Problem encoding Mr & Mrs Smith

Hi,

I'm using FairUse and has been great on other movies but I am having a problem encoding Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

It will go thru the whole process but when i play the file I find that it is missing part of the movie... the scene after where they are driving racing each other home (after the exploding jacket) to the first shotgun shot on the stairway is missing.

Some kind of copy protection?

I am using an original copy of the DVD I bought when it first came out in stores.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I saw exactly the same thing happen with this movie. I haven't yet bothered to dig into it further to try and diagnose the problem.

Update...

found this link:
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/262320

Used DVD decrytper and then Nero Recode exactly laid out on the website and was able to make a 4.7gb copy of the movie.

Used THAT burned copy with FairUse and it made a clean avi file with no missing parts and looked great on my PDA.

Really don't know why FairUse wouldnt make a complete copy with the the original DVD but as long as got my end result.
