Sample Windows Media encoded video

It's hard to find (legal) videos of any length to try out on your Axim, so I thought this might be helpful.

I took the liberty of reformatting the (freely-distributed) trailer for the upcoming Microsoft Xbox game "Halo 2" into a PocketPC compatible Windows Media Video.

For those of you wanting a fairly small video clip (16.8 megabytes) that still offers enough time to form an opinion (nearly 10 minutes) this might be of use.

I should note that the upcoming game is rated "M" and, as such, the video contains some graphic military violence if that sort of thing bothers you.

If you configure Windows Media Player to "Play fullscreen when oversized" and "Rotate 180 degrees when playing fullscreen" then this should work fine on your Axim. Enjoy. Download the video

If anyone downloaded the video within 10 minutes of my original post, there was a bug that causes audio hangups on some Axims.

It's been fixed now and the current file should work fine. Sorry for any confusion.

Cool video, I think it would run much better if you converted it
to run on a divx player. All my divx movies run very smoothly on
my Axim....your video ran somewhat choppy in Win Media Player.

I think a lot of factors must affect WMV performance. Do you have a 300 or 400 mHz?

Did you run the video from a SD card, CF card or internal storage?

How much internal storage do you have free?
