Google Video

Is there a way to play videos downloaded from Google Video on an X51 (WM5)? I am going on a long trip in the next few weeks and I'd like to be able to download a couple of TV shows and watch them on the way. I'm happy to pay for the privilege but I haven't been able to figure out how to get it to work. Or maybe there is some other legit source of videos of TV shows, etc?

Google offers mp4 video downloads. You should be able to play them on your PPC using TCPMP.

My 2 cents worth is to search youtube for the video you seen on google video and use itube to download it. I tried the route mentioned above and for me, using itube is so much simplier.

You can get itube here:

Have fun.

No google video is a lot simpler for me.

With youtube you have to download the flv file using another site.
Then download a program to convert the flv file, then send that file to your axim.

With google video all you have to do is find the download link for psp/ipod and then download the mp4 file and sync it to your axim, or copy and paste the link in a email to your axim, then use wifi to download it onto the axim.

The only downside to google video's mp4 downloads is sometimes they are big in size, but they have great quality.
