FairUse Region question

I'm in the UK on a trip and wanted to make an AVI of a region 2 disc I have. If I do that and I put it on my CF card will it play on my X50? Or will the region be an issue? I wanted to watch it on the long plane ride home!

No problem. It is the DVD that has regional protection. An .avi file does not. It will play anywhere.

Thank you so much for the info! I hated to waste the time if it didn't work!! I have a lot of region 2 so I was hoping it worked!
I am enjoying, the weather has been GREAT! But it is nearing the end & back to exciting NEBRASKA!!
