core player and bookmarking

So my question is, does the new core player have bookmarking? Some times I watch some of a movie and then get in the car and drive some where while listening to music or a lecture or something. But I have to remember where I was in the movie when I resume and I have to remember where I was in the lecture when I get back in the car. tcpmp will remember as long as you don't load some thing new, but this only takes care of a portion of my problem.

This is why I use separate programs for audio and video...and since TCPMP doesn't offer the "changer" controls of Mortplayer or skinning....

When will the new Core Player be available, and could someone post a link?

The incredibly popular Core Pocket Media Player (TCPMP) has long been a mainstay of any serious Palm OS users' software library. For the past several years TCMP's popularity has been enhanced by its attractive price-tag (free)!

Core Codec Inc. is now set to release a much more polished and professional next-generation version of the program that will be available for purchase.

On October 16th, www.coreplayer.com will officially launch CorePlayer 1.0 for both consumer add-on markets and OEM bundling. Core Player will initially support Palm OS, Windows XP, Vista, UMPC, CE, Pocket PC, Windows Mobile, and Symbian OSes, though additional device support is very likely in the future. Even new game consoles such as the PS3, PSP, and Xbox360 have been hinted at as destinations for this well-traveled app.

TCMP was originally the brainchild of ace programmer Gabor Kovacs (AKA Picard) who ported his Betaplayer Windows Mobile/PPC media app to Palm OS. TCPMP was then born under the concept of porting the versatile application to all popular mobile OSes.

All... we will offer our CoreTheque database which integrates into our Media Library... but it is actually the ML. Confused? Read: http://coretheque.corecodec.org andyou will come away with a better understanding on what its all about.

Shout answer is yes.... you can manipulate your playlist on the device as well as on CorePlayer.com to be able to 'push sync' to your device.

Didn't get into the tech demo, so waiting impatiently now for the actual release and (hopefully) CoreAVC being included with CorePlayer for PPC. :D
