What's up with Coreplayer

I was reading the thread below about the coreplayer forum & learning WAY too much information about ones bladder size. I too (although I was able to hold my bodily fluids) was anxious and checked every couple of minutes starting at 3:15 EST. So what happened? Why? And when will it be resolved?

You read that post too huh?? Quite the group over yonder :) Yeah, I'm actually really interested in this. Hope they resolve it soon. Or at least maybe the Handango link would work. Oh well, I'm still fighting with these dvd rippers I've downloaded. I USED to think I was somwhat decent with computers.

It's not up. They're waiting on Handango... which means it can take between 12-24 hours from when the file was submitted to be posted.

Honestly, if they're only releasing on Handango... well, as much as I love the tech demo... I'll wait until it hits CoreCodec so I can pay them directly. Even if it takes 2-3 months, as per the wait for 1.4 or 1.5 with the sharing features.

Handango took longer than expected to activate - first, they froze our products because they are covered by "copy write[sic]", and the required proof of ownership. After that, they still have another X period of time before it goes live. Additionally, there were some API issues to work around (we have an account system for a variety of services to come). If it weren't for these issues, it would have been live as planned.

MobiHand was a much easier experience, and their API was remarkably similar to the Handango one. Our store will support Handango, MobiHand, and direct checkout within the next few days.

What can I say, other than we put the product first, and the sales second. Sometimes, this means a little delay. With good enough marketing, you can sell a turd; however, that's not the way we like to do business. Selling turds isn't good for repeat business either.

WHAT THE HELL IS A "CORENUMBER"??? My software, which I waited ALL DAY FOR (it's now 1:24am) damands a "corenumber" when I try to use it on my Axim X51v, despite the fact that no "corenumber" was provided with my purchase from mobihand. "We put the product first....." Bull! THE PRODUCT DOESN"T WORK FROMT HE START! LAME, especially after the "countdown" some of your longterm users have been through in eager anticipation. YOU WEREN'T PREPARED. That's nobody's fault but your own! I want to use this software NOW, or I want a refund! No excuses!

Mike: A CoreNumber is a serial number, plain and simple. You do have to enter a serial number for this program, just like any number of other programs.

As for what it is, you received an e-mail to "Please confirm your account". Click the link in the e-mail, and click on "My Account". Your serial number shows up under purchases. There was an issue with the first couple purchases not getting the serial number automatically provided to MobiHand (slight difference in the API). What can I say, we passed the test suite they provided. New orders will be provided their serial number in the registration e-mail.

If you would like, I can e-mail your serial number to you instead.

There is no serial number at "my account". and I received no "please confirm my account" e-mail. Please e-mail my serial number, a.s.a.p. and restore my faith!

cyt0plas: As I said on the CoreCodec site, Mobihand's a little more forgiving, and I'm glad y'all have found it the same way. :D Now you know another reason I refuse to buy from Handango.

By the way, what happened to the promotional pricing of $19.99?

Edit #2: Logged into my CoreCodec account, made the purchase, no serial number on the CoreCodec site... and 'No Serial Number required' shows up on Mobihand. Guess some things still need smoothing out. :D

Edit #3: Also, will CoreAVC purchases, which were previously handled manually, be added to the Core account services?

Edit #4: Oookay... one question - if I register with one email address due to previous Core purchases, and then I use another email address to purchase CorePlayer, does this mean I need two Core accounts, or can they be merged?

I just rechecked Mobihand. NO SERIAL NUMBER ANYWHERE. My e-mail address is RadioGiant@aol.com

I'd like to use the software I paid for!

It does look like there are some bugs in the system ;) I just purchased it about twenty minutes ago from Mobihand and while I got a confirmation email from them almost instantly

Order Detail:

CorePlayer For Windows Mobile/PocketPC
Registration Code (Key): Not Required
Download: Go to the download page (Full Version)
Product Support: support@corecodec.com

I have received nothing from the Coreplayers sight. Also tried to manually register on your site and have not received a confirmation email for that either. I have checked my junk email folder also and it is not there.

I went ahead and reset the password on your core account, and sent you the information. It appears that AOL is simply being slow in delivering our emails (I checked the mail server log, AOL accepted the messages).

I went ahead and pre-activated the account for you too, so there is no need for you to confirm your e-mail address. Sorry for the delay.

I got the serial number. Thanks for your help. But NO THANKS for what you removed from the product I paid MORE THAN ADVERTISED FOR in comparison to the older, free product!
