From the start, I am a newbie to the DELL AXIM. Matter of fact ,I just now purchased one from ebay. It is the 300mhz version. But it comes with 256meg Lexar SD and A Belkin wireless CF card. A big step up from my little old Cassiopeia EM-500.(16mb ram). I pretty much know how to encode movies for PDA's , My Question is can I few encoded movies(pda size) that I have stored on my Desktop through My Network. ( Like streaming) or do I have to transfer them to the PDA first?And at what speed does it tranfer ? And also while surfing the net with a pda , can I view any web page or does it have to be a mobile web site? Thanks for any input you all have. And I look forward to reading all the great info in this forum. Looks like about anything you want to know is in here.

I do not know all the answers..but
Your Wireless CF card can go up to 11mbs. Though your performance may vary.
You can search the web just as if you were on a regular machine...though it is a pain to try to read sites which are formatted for 880x600 on the tiny screen. Some sites have been specially formatted for the small screen...I am not sure if you can get to the "Real" page for a site which has a 'mobile" version..
