MPG to AVI converter?

Is there a freeware mpg to avi converter? Also, I havent gotten my Axim yet... in transit... but i'm assuming because you are all downloading PocketMVP that pocket MS Media player dosent play AVI. Correct?

Correct, the Pocket PC version of Media Player doesn't support AVI. Go to the multimedia forum to find a TON of info on encoding. I use this guide, and it works great. http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showt...&threadid=3692

That guide looks complicated, but after doing it a few times, I have it down. It really isn't that hard. It should be able to drastically reduce the size of your Simpsons. I got an episode that I ripped from the Second Season DVD down to about 30 MB or so an episode, and the quality is pretty good to. Good luck with your noble persuit of watching Simpsons on your Ax.
