brief pauses in playback of divx in pocketmvp.. hmmm

I did an encode of a spinal tap svcd rip i have.. it plays back really well (240x176 video, 218 kbit video bitrate, 22khz 56bit audio) however every so often (maybe every 5mins ) the video and audio will just pause for around 5 seconds or so and then it 'll continue playing.. has anyone else gotten this? any ideas? the framerate seems very smooth on playback, it's not choppy at all. .but these pauses every so often are a little annoying.

btw I've got a 300 axim, and I get this regardless of whether i'm running at 300mhz or 400.

I had that problem too. Someone on this site said to go under Settings - Configure and check Keep Alive.

This seemed to take care of it for me.

thanks for the tip.. keep alive was disabled.. i've enabled it now and i'll try it out later.. good to know it's not pausing because of too high a bitrate or something.

Also, if you haven't done so yet, in Settings set your Cache to the full 12 MB. With a high bitrate it could be the unit is playing faster than it can cache what's coming up, hence the stutter every few minutes.
