Question Help with Playback of Mpeg files

I don't use my Axim much for mpeg playback. However, on the occasions that I do, I noticed that the mpegs I downloaded from Pocketmovies.net only playback on the left side of my earphones. Does anyone know why this is so? Music files etc play back in full stereo? What can I do about this?

Thanks.
David

Hi!
Just wondering. Is your earphone connected all the way. You may want to play around with the jack just in case.

Yes, I've played around with the headphones. The only way sound comes through both sides when playing those mpegs is if the headphone is halfway out and sound is coming through the Axim speaker at the same time. It is truly odd. Now, I can push the headphone plug all the way in and play mp3s to beautiful stereo sound. It only does this with those free mpegs. I've used Windows Media Player as well as Resco's mpeg player -- same result.

It really sounds like the videos from Pocketmovies.net. especially if the mpeg audios (mp3s) are working all right.
I converted my wedding video from VCD (not DVD) and it is in stereo.
Anyone else try Pocketmovies.net?

Well, I have been attempting to use Media Player, but with no success. Then I loaded Resco photo viewer from the CD that came with my Axim. That also reads mpeg files. Apparently the problem is with that application. I downloaded Pocket TV and the problem was immediately solved. It shows the video clips with greater clarity AND in hear it in full stereo.

I think it's the formatting of the files. I had some mpg files and they all worked on my computer, as soon as I converted them over to the Axim, a couple of files didn't work and the rest did. I think the media player only can use certain formats of Mpg files.
