PocketMusic across WiFi

I downloaded & installed PocketMusic to play mp3's stored on my pc (thru my wireless network). While I can play ONE song at a time by double-clicking them in Total Commander, I cannot seem to figure out how to load or set-up a playlist of network mp3's into PocketMusic.

When I try to load another file into the playlist via the + button I only get Axim folders, none of my pc's. Remember I can see and select a single file from the pc in Total Commander.

Help please.

What if you created a playlist on your computer for the files you want......and then open it up in NotePad. It would show up like:

C:\folder\test1.mp3
C:\folder\test2.mp3

You could TRY to change this to a network path in NotePad, like:

\\ComputerName\folder\test1.mp3
\\ComputerName\folder\test2.mp3

I'm not sure if this would work with PocketMusic, as I have not tried this strategy at all. Just a suggestion to try out.

i'm using pocketLan to mount a network share locally. then its just another folder listed in the pocket music directory tree. works great.

Can total commander mount a share, or can you only browse files on the network within that application?

I tried modifying a pc playlist (good thought) but no luck - must use a different format because PocketMusic didn't like it (actually it made the playlist jump all over the place without playing anything - pretty bizarre).

I do not believe TC mounts a share, it just allows full (i.e. executable) access to files unlike Pocket Explorer. So even though I can create a shortcut to my network, PocketMusic wont see it (like it would a mapped drive)

Any other ideas??.

Use NetRunner to mount your drives then play from there... work fine here with the exeption that I cant copy files, only read them but I am not sure if that is a PPC problem of a windows share problem...

When i listen to music on my computer, i listen to mp3's stored on another computer, and even the playlist stored on that computer.

The playlist is playable both on the local computer (where it was created), and on all computers on the LAN.

The format in the playlist is like this:

#EXTINF:216,Delinquent Habits - Adam 12
Blandet\Delinquent Habits\Delinquent habits - Adam 12.mp3

It is just to the path to the song, from the folder the playlist is located.

so rfortune: Have you tried creating a playlist on the computer, and then open it on the PPC?

I hope you get this working, cause playing mp3's from my music server is one of the biggest reasons why i want a Wireless LAN card.

Netrunner was the answer - mounts my pc's music drive as a shared drive with access through PocketMusic. Thanks.
