When i use Virtual Dub and follow the instructions on this board and go to the job control it gets half way there and freezes.

Its only on some videos.
ONe freezes at 10%
Another at 51%
and another at 57%

I've done it alot of time and it still freezes. I reinstalled virtual dub too.
But its not for all i have succesfully reeincoded some videos.

I set it to shoow input video and out put video some times and when it gets the the freezing point the video freezes and it just stays the same.

Any suggestions?

Rather than percentages, what is the actual frame it gets to when it livelocks? (That's VDub's term for 'freeze')

There's a bit on the VirtualDub website under Old News that discusses a bug with frame 9995 associated with the Creative MP3 codec and tells how to give priority to a different codec to avoid this problem.
