I have the same problem as MentalV. I have downloaded WMP9 and when I try to copy songs to the Axim, the Axim is not listed. Any resolutions?

never fixed mine so I am not sure what will I do... in fact I screwed up my Axim by installing WMP8 upgrade from MS instead of leaving it alone like the tutorial section said... I will be doing a back up soon with a hard reset after that and hoping it will might fix both things...

i meant reinstalling it on the PC - NOT the PDA... in fact I am one of those that are due for a hard reset and restore because I screwed up by installing the update from MS site. The Axim comes with WMP8.5 for PPC and the update is actually an older version so I replaced the newer version with the older one. :(

to reinstall WMP9, just uninstall it then go to http://microsoft.com/windows/windows...es/player.aspx and hit download. also for WMP9 on the PDA you're gonna have to get Windows Mobile (PPC 2003) as for recognizing the Axim, u should leave ur synch settings to "continuously while device is connected" if wmp still wont see it, try just unplugging the Axim and plugging it back in. that works for me when it doesnt recognize it

actually
1. The Axim X5 does show up in device manager. The drivers show up as "Windows CE USB Devices" and then "Dell Axim USB Sync".
2. I had the same problems but then i checked back like 2 minz and it was there.
